Reality Check:
Dear Gamer:
Those of us involved in the development and publication of THE
MOST VIOLENT COMPUTER GAME EVER, HARVESTER, sincerely
hope that you enjoy our game. Harvester was designed and written
to be purposefully disturbing by requiring you to perform
distasteful acts that are not a part of real life, or certainly
shouldn't be, in order to accomplish a goal, to "play
and win the game." That is what fantasy role playing is all
about, doing things we never do in real life.
We encourage you to play Harvester for all you are
worth, put yourself into the Steve's role, play the game to
win, experience all there is, but then give yourself a Reality
Check. Remember, it is just a game.
Hopefully, Harvester will make you think about the
violence in our world, about the violence you freely witnessed,
accepted and had to execute in order to win the game. As
we are all painfully aware, the real world in which we live
desperately needs less violence and more Kindness.
We hope your Harvester experience will motivate you to
reject the tolerance of violence as a part of your life. We hope
you will regularly perform random acts of kindness to or for
someone, anyone. Acts of kindness are contagious!
